Spec Ad #9 - Ferrari 812 Superfast - A New Age

Ferrari 812 Superfast

Limits Are Meant To Be Broken

The name Ferrari is synonymous with tradition, glory, and racing pedigree. The Ferrari 812 Superfast honors the past but also reinvents the image of the 12-cylinder Ferrari vehicle.

And what better way to ring in a new era than with the fastest road-going Ferrari ever built?

The Ferrari 812 Superfast features a naturally-aspirated 12-cylinder engine, pumping out a staggering 789 hp (almost 60 more horsepower than its predecessor, the F12berlinetta).

Ferrari engineers have squeezed every ounce of power out of the 6.5 liter engine by creating an intake system that maximizes the amount of air drawn into the engine.

Horsepower means nothing without torque. That's why the 812 Superfast is capable of producing 718 newton meters of torque at 7,000 rpm (or 529 foot pounds of torque). Here's the mind-blowing part: 80% of this torque is accessible at 3,500 rpm, allowing the driver to experience breathtaking acceleration at any given time.

With the 812 Superfast, Ferrari have smashed conventional beliefs about the engine capabilities of road cars.

Don't believe the hype? Then let the numbers do the talking.

0 - 60mph: 2.9 seconds
Top speed: 211 mph
Max rpm: 8,900 rpm
Power-to-weight ratio: 2.07kg/lb

Advanced Racing Technology

The Ferrari 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari ever to be equipped with EPS (Electric Power Steering). EPS ensures the safety of the driver without impeding on the driving feel of the car and thrill of racing. The new 4 wheel rear-axle steering system improves handling and helps the driver avoid understeer around corners.

Ferrari's new dual clutch 7-speed F1 gearbox provides 40% faster shifts in comparison to the F12berlinetta. But Ferrari has done more than just improve internal technology, it has also applied racing knowledge and engineering to the vehicle's exterior.

The aerodynamic body of the 812 Superfast creates increased downforce, keeping it perfectly planted around tight turns. Sharp body angles reduce drag and increase speed and acceleration, helping the driver gain precious seconds on the track.

Jekyll and Hyde At Your Fingertips

Looking at the sheer insanity of the numbers, one might forget the 812 Superfast is still a road car. Different electronic modes allow the vehicle to be both well-mannered and rowdy. 'Bumpy mode' dampens the suspension and turns the 812 Superfast into a prancing horse. On the other hand, 'race mode' stiffens the suspension and increases power output, transforming it into a fierce stallion.

Own The Fastest Road Car Ferrari Has Ever Built

The Ferrari 812 Superfast has pushed the limits of what road vehicles are capable of. You can read and research the 812 Superfast for an eternity, but it must be driven to be appreciated.
